The Consulate General of France in Ho Chi Minh City is opening its doors during this weekend's 'European Heritage Days,' offering a digital exploration and cultural immersion experience.
Situated at 6 Le Duan Street, District 1, the 151-year-old French architectural landmark will be open to the public on September 16, providing free admission for a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
The Consulate General has infused a digital touch into this year's program. Throughout the tour, QR codes strategically placed in three languages - Vietnamese, English, and French - offer visitors the opportunity to discover the history and stories surrounding the building.
Visitors will receive postcards enhanced with augmented reality (AR) technology, enabling them to witness the mansion's evolution over time. Augmented reality enhances the real-world environment with virtual elements, accessible via smartphones, computers, or other electronic devices.
